This recipe is from my sister-in-law Marsha, who is amazing in the kitchen.
Ingredients
2-3 pounds of sweet Italian sausage. Use sausage from a real Italian store if possible, you will taste the difference.
2 jars of spaghetti sauce, to cover. Use your favorite brand and flavor.
Sliced green, yellow and red peppers. At least 2 of each, quantity depends on how many people you are feeding, and how much you want to eat.
2 large onions, sliced. More if you like.
Italian seasoning (she didn’t give quantities, but I’d start with two tablespoons)
Optional: shredded carrots, garlic.
Also optional, but a good idea: add meatballs, because why not? (not the pre-cooked kind)
Instructions
Add all ingredients to crockpot, cook on low for 8 hours.

I made this pork loin after I discovered I was out of barbeque sauce, so it was a no-go on the BBQ pork I was originally planning. The flavor was incredible… This is my new go-to recipe. An added bonus is that it is economical, especially if you find a sale, and the leftovers are great for tacos, sandwiches, or added to a ramen style soup.
Ingredients
2-4 pound pork loin roast (I started with partially frozen: I had put it in the fridge to thaw overnight, and it didn’t entirely thaw)
1 bottle Italian salad dressing (I used Wishbone Robusto Italian, but go ahead and use whatever is your favorite).
Instructions
Put pork loin in crock pot.
Pour entire bottle of Italian dressing over pork loin.
Cook on high for around 4 to 4 1/2 hours. The meat is done when it separates easily with a fork.
Save the drippings and spoon them over the pork when serving.
Suggested accompaniments: green beans, roasted potatoes and carrots, grits
